Ja Rule - Body (rabid remix)

In 2007, Ja Rule released the single Body to poor chart reviews. The original version featured Ashley Joi in the chorus. The original version appeared on Ja Rule's 2009 mixtape, The Mirror, which was actually originally slated to be released as a studio album in 2007. The song Body was allegedly written by Ja Rule while in a club watching some women dancing.

The rabid remix of Body takes all of the original vocals and combines them with a new beat along with a high energy classic rock sample. If you've ever heard She's A Beauty by the Tubes, then you're sure to recognize the sample that is present throughout the song. Since this is probably my last release for 2016, I've made this remix completely untagged, meaning there are no "DJ Diamond Dog" samples anywhere. There are also 5 versions... a regular clean and explicit, an 8 bar extended clean and explicit and an instrumental.

This is the grand finale to 2016 for me, so please take a minute to sample Body (rabid remix) by Ja Rule. Also, you can download it for your personal music collection as well. Thanks for all the support and patience this year. Here's to a new and improved 2017!!

New Year's Eve Countdown to 2017

Last year's New Year's Eve countdown mix was so popular that I decided to put together another one. Although slightly shorter (only about 20 minutes), this one has just as much energy... if not more. The mix features all the hottest music from the past year (such as For Free, Broccoli and One Dance) as well as the classic club bangers (such as Get Low, Be Faithful & Let Me Clear My Throat). Everything is fully mixed and flows seamlessly from beginning to end. It was also done completely live. In fact, the only thing added to this mix post-production was the samples.

So, if you're having a new year's eve party and want to be able to keep everyone dancing throughout the night, this is the exactly what you need. All you have to do is load this mix up on your ipod or computer at 10:30PM and Lil Jon will count down the last half hour, 10 minutes and 10 seconds precisely. One thing to remember is that if you are running the mix via bluetooth, there will be a slight delay. This single, long-play mix is exactly what you can use to get the party rocking and keep the party rocking!!

You can sample the Countdown to 2017 Mix and you can also download the full, high quality mix for your personal collection. Remember, this mix has a wonderful selection of bangers for your party!! This is my gift to you all. Thank you so much for another year of support. Everyone have a very Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year!!

Tory Lanez - LUV (rabid remix)

One of the smash hits from 2016 was LUV by Tory Lanez, a smooth R&B/dancehall track that had the energy to fill a dance floor. Although LUV peaked at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100 for Tory Lanez, it was actually a remake from Tanto Metro & Devonte's 1997 version which was entitled Everyone Falls In Love.

The rabid remix of this hit features vocals from the original version by Tanto Metro & Devonte as well as Jamaican dancehall artist, Samantha J. This is a great remix to combine 2 different eras nearly 20 years apart. Be sure to take a minute to sample LUV (rabid remix) by Tory Lanez and also download it for your personal music collection.

With Christmas right around the corner, I'm hoping to get a few more tracks out before the end of the year... to keep them parties poppin'. Thanks for the support and be sure to share the link djdiamonddog.com with all your friends.

Rock of Ages vs Yeah (Def Leppard vs Usher)

First of all, I want to apologize for not dropping anything over the past 2 months. I've had serious family matters that have been being addressed.

Now, on to the music!! Two iconic hits from 2 iconic eras smash paths in this high energy mashup. Whether you're a classic rock/hair band metal lover or a hip hop/R&B/crunk listener, this one has it all. It all starts with the well known intro from Def Leppard's Rock of Ages....Gunter gleiben glauchen globen... which means exactly what you thought it meant, nothing at all. Then, bring in some funky crunk bass from the smash hit in the 2000's, Yeah by Usher... and now you've got something to work with!! Yeah vs. Rock of Ages takes the best of both worlds and fuses them together flawlessly, giving you a classic 80's feel with that new age bass. This is a perfect mashup for any open format parties or venues.

So, please, check this one out by streaming it directly and be sure to download it for your music collection. The download comes via zip file, so please contact me, either by email or through facebook, if you have any problems downloading this latest mashup. The download also contains the regular clean radio version as well as a clean extended version for the DJ's.

I'm getting back at it. I'm gonna be working hard to get some more great mixes out before the end of the year. Thanks so much for the patience and the support!! And don't forget, you can always get more great mixes at djdiamonddog.com.

Promotional Mix (September 2016)

This is a promotional mix I put together in September 2016. This mix is being shared to showcase my music selection and transition skills for playing at most clubs or bars in the Northern NY area. The mix runs approximately 1hr 50mins. The track selection begins at a more mellow, low energy pace and gradually increases the energy to (what would/could be) the peak time at a bar or club venue. The music genres vary between old school hip hop, R&B, EDM, house, reggae and top 40.

The full mix is available for free promotional download. The download will allow the playing of the mix through an mp3 player for testing purposes.  Once downloaded, the mix can be played at any venue to test crowd reaction. The mix is also tag-free, so there will be no annoying DJ drops while testing. The tracks included in this promotional mix are completely clean radio edits, so it can be tested anywhere. I also have more mixes available at djdiamonddog.com. For booking or questions, I can be reached at any of the above links... or simply click the corresponding link below or email me at hitmeup@djdiamonddog.com.

Desiigner - Panda (ft TI and Rick Ross)

The year 2016 marked a huge year for newcomer Desiigner. He blasted onto the scene with the smash hit Panda, which dominated the charts throughout the summer. Heavy percussion and a unique voice gave the Brooklyn rapper an upper edge with his debut single, which peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

With the success of the original, I offer you a remix alternative featuring T.I. & Rick Ross. You can stream Panda (the rabid bootleg) here and you can also download it for your music collection. There is also a video for this remix that you can watch here. This remix keeps all of the original energy while adding verses from T.I. & Rick Ross, 2 of hip hop's icons.

There will be much more coming soon, so stay tuned to djdiamonddog.com for some of the hottest releases this fall!!

Pushin' Tha Limitz II (video mixtape)

With the new age of music, video has been an integral part of most promotions. Virtually every artist you hear, both mainstream and underground, has videos to accompany their releases. About 6 years ago, I began dabbling in video and released Pushin Tha Limitz which was a full video mixtape... completely mixed throughout. It was rather ahead of it's time at that time and got many positive reviews.

Well, after 6 years of working with sound and video (mostly remixes and mashups), I took the time to put together a part 2 to that original video mixtape. Pushin' Tha Limitz II runs an identical pattern to the original and features both new and old school tracks. You can stream Pushin' Tha Limitz II right here for free. I expect to offer a download link in the future, but for now I am keeping it as a streaming only project.

If you enjoy this video mixtape, please let me know on my facebook page or at my Twitter account. With some positive feedback, I'll set up a download link for anyone that would like to watch this one lcally on their pc, tablet or phone. Thanks for the support everyone. TLC - No Scrubs (Party Up Bootleg)

In 1999, TLC released one of the most infectious anthems for the ladies ever heard. No Scrubs described independent women and the fact that they needed NO man... well, at least no scrub. The song shot into the top 10 in many countries worldwide as well as peaking at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. This release is timeless and still gets the women moving and singing when it comes on.

The year is 2016 and DJ Diamond Dog has bootlegged not 1 but 2 versions of this classic. Earlier this year, there was the more mellow version featuring the beat from Same Old Love by Selena Gomez (you can listen to this version at djdiamonddog.com). Now, there is the much more upbeat and higher energy version of this song laid out over the beat from Party Up by DMX as well as a featured performance by Fat Man Scoop. This high energy version is guaranteed to get a great response from the ladies at any get together or bar/club venue.

You can sample No Scrubs (Party Up Bootleg) and you can also download it for your music collection. There is also a remix video that you can watch here.

Sexual Healing Fix (Marvin Gaye vs Nelly vs Max-A-Million)

Today, I am featuring 3 chartbusters from 3 different eras all rolled up into one mashup. In the 80's, Sexual Healing was first put out by Marvin Gaye and it was a smash hit that still resonates today. In the 90's, Max-A-Million remade this classic and added some reggae & house flavor to it. The end result? Another smash hit. In 2015, Nelly & Jeremih did a song that features the timeless words from the hooks of these 2 songs... baaaaaaby... the Fix. Yet again... another smash hit. The end result is approximately a 35 year time span and 3 smash hits utilizing either the same or very similar hooks.

So, what better way to celebrate these 3 classics than to put out a mashup featuring all 3 of these songs, fused together as one. You can dance to it or you can grind to it. This is the mashup that extends to both high energy and mellow crowds. So get on board and check out Sexual Healing Fix (Marvin Gaye vs. Nelly vs. Max-A-Million). You can also download this mashup for your own personal use. It is untagged, so it will be very useful for the DJ's.

Thanks for the support and please share my music and website with your friends.

Positive Vibes Mix

With all the negative events taking place these days, I felt it was necessary for a mix with some positive content in it. So, here it is... Positive Vibes. This is just a short, 30 minute mix... but it features music withOUT today's pop content... guns, drugs, sex, etc. This mix features music from as far back as 50 years right up to the present day. When classics like December 1963, the Payback and Could You Be Loved team up with more modern classics like Summertime, Yeah and Good Day, the result is a very positive, happy, feel good mix... a mix that just makes you wanna fire up the BBQ, go to the beach and just enjoy life!! That's what this mix is all about.

So, if you want a different style mix in your ipod, without all the negativity, then you have to check out Positive Vibes. It's free and it's completely untagged, so you can stream it to your computer, tablet or mobile phone. You can also download it to add to your music library.

This is a great mix. And although it's short, it will leave you feeling uplifted. Please check this one out and share it with your friends. This is the type of music we need to hear in this world filled with hate and violence. I'd like to send a big thanks to everyone who supports me and follows my views on this.

I Gotta Gold Digger ('Ye vs. Ray)

It all started in 1954, when a little known artist by the name of Ray Charles (you may have heard of him) dropped a little track by the name of I Got A Woman and it hit number one on the R&B chart. The song was so popular that it has been covered by everyone from the Beatles to John Mayer. Fast forward 51 years to 2005 and yet another song utilizing the harmony is released. This time it is Jamie Foxx on the vocals (changed up from the original) over a Kanye West track you may have heard called Gold Digger. The stage is now set for this mashup.

Tack on another 11 years (62 years from the original song's release) and you can hear a very smooth fusion of these 2 tracks. The original melody remains throughout the mashup, yet allows 'Ye to do his thing as well. You can sample I Gotta Gold Digger right here and you can also download it for your music collection here. The download features the track as a clean version as well as an extended 8 bar intro & outro (also clean) for the DJ's.

There will be more summer releases coming soon!! Check out the main website at djdiamonddog.com  and be sure to like my page at facebook.com/djdiamonddog for all of my releases and news.

Ludacris - Area Codes (rabid remix) (ft 50 Cent and Nate Dogg)

In the early 2000's, Ludacris was huge... as well as Nate Dogg... as well as 50 Cent. Area Codes, which can be heard in the original Fast & Furious movie, but is not on the soundtrack, was a big urban hit. It implemented the smooth R&B vocals of Nate Dogg with the gritty, party lyrics of Ludacris.

In 2016, 15 years later, I have remixed this classic by adding a smooth R&B sample from the 1997 hit Too Close by Next to compliment the smooth vocals from Nate Dogg. You can also hear 50 Cent and his sexually charged lyrics get into the action. This is a smooth R&B/hip hop crossover remix. You can stream Area Codes (rabid remix) above and you can download the remix single here (feat. an extended, instrumental & acapella). This is yet another untagged remix, so it will be very friendly for the DJ's.

Stay tuned to djdiamonddog.com for more great summer music coming soon!!

Linkin Park - Wretches & Kings (feat Chuck D)

This was originally remixed in 2010 and featured on the Platinum Band mixtape. Wretches & Kings is already a high-powered political track in it's original form. However, it takes a whole new level once Chuck D drops lyrics on it. The entire track is a powerful, conscious, political track, and speaks against the injustices of a corrupt government. Injustices that have been present for centuries. If you like conscious music, then this one is great for you.

You can stream Wretches & Kings (rabid mix) video above and you can also download it here. If you enjoy it, please view & share it via my YouTube link. There can never be too many ears to listen to a consciously political track, especially at a time when politics appears to rule everything.

Thanks for your support. And please, research and question EVERYTHING... especially before you vote this year.

Fifth Harmony - Work From Home (315 Mix)

Breaking out of the gates, Work From Home was probably one of the biggest club bangers in the early part of 2016. With smooth, heart-pounding bass & phenomenal harmony, this song has quickly moved into the mainstream and has appealed to everyone, regardless of their taste in music.

Armed with such a great start, I offer you a remix featuring the same beat & harmony, but adding a cameo appearance from the Oakland superstar, Too Short, as well as some timely samples. The 3-1-5 remix (representing my location in upstate NY) features both a clean and dirty version, an 8 bar intro for the DJ's who would like to put it in the mix, and it is also untagged... meaning there are no DJ Diamond Dog drops in any of the versions.

So go ahead, download this alternate remix... wherever you are. And stay tuned, I currently have a remix in the works that will feature Jay-Z, Angie Martinez & Flo-Rida!!

Lil Dicky - Save Dat Money (Love Of Money Mix)

http://djdiamonddog.com

Released in June 2015, Save Dat Money grabbed alot of attention with it's comedic content (very similar to Thrift Shop by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis). The debut single by Lil Dicky peaked at #71 on the Billboard Hot 100 and # 23 on the US Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs.

Fast Forward to March 2016, Save Dat Money (Love For Money Mix) is released at djdiamonddog.com. The remix still features Fetty Wap, but replaces Rich Homie Quan with Busta Rhymes and completely overhauls the original sound. The Love for Money Mix features an elegant sample of... that's right... For The Love Of Money by The O'Jays. The new sound is still dance-floor friendly with alot of energy.

You can download this remix single here, which features everything you'd want in a single... clean & dirty versions, clean and dirty untagged extended versions for my DJ family, an instrumental, and both a clean and dirty acapella. You can also watch the video for this remix here. This remix has everything you'll want for your party or for the club.

Check this one out! I think everyone will enjoy it. It's a nice alternative sound to the original. And the DJ's will certainly enjoy the untagged extended versions which also feature 8 bar intros and outros.

Jackson 5 - I Want You Back (ft Black Rob & Walter Orange)

One of Motown's finest groups, the Jackson 5, unites with funk legend Walter “Clyde” Orange as well as Bad Boy's Black Rob for a remake of the classic I Want You Back. There is also an alternate, more pop-friendly remix featuring the Jackson 5 with Black Rob and the new millennium pop phenomenon Taylor Swift.

The remix featuring Walter Orange, originally the drummer from the Commodores, who was also the lead singer on the hit Brick House, has a hip hop/funk sound with strong percussion. The Taylor Swift version is more pop-oriented and features a more acoustic intro along with a much lighter beat.

You can sample I Want You Back (featuring Walter Orange) and I Want You Back (featuring Taylor Swift) at djdiamonddog.com. You can also download the remix bundle featuring high quality versions of both remixes as well as an extended version for the DJ's.

Stay tuned for more great remixes coming soon!!

Cha Cha Funk (Mr C vs Mark Ronson)

In the early 2000's, Mr C released a song that has remained popular at venues all over the world for over 10 years. The Cha Cha Slide, which is a line dance, is simply a series of instruction by the artist that the dancers follow. Simple concept. Huge following. Then came 2014 and the release of Uptown Funk, an enormous hit by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars. Although it is not a line dance, Uptown Funk has found it's way into mp3 players around the world and looks to be a mainstay at venues of all occasions.

Cha Cha Funk takes those dance instructions and combines them with the popular beat of Uptown Funk. Although the actual dance moves remain the same, they are in a different order. This mashup of these 2 iconic hits is guaranteed to fill your floor, whether at the club/bar or at your house party. Be sure to take a minute to sample Cha Cha Funk and download it for your next big (or small) occasion.

Stay tuned!! 2016 has much more to bring!! And don't forget to check out Creative Sounds DJ's, my mobile DJ business based out of Watertown, NY.

LONG LIVE MUSIC!!

Tricky Sharona (Run DMC vs. the Knack)

Two iconic songs fused together into one track. That's what you get when you press play on "Tricky Sharona." First, you take an all time power-pop, college favorite classic in
"My Sharona" by the Knack. Then, you blend it with an 80's hit that actually sampled
"My Sharona" with Run DMC's "It's Tricky," which still packs dance floors around the world to this day, 30 years later. The result is an uncontrollable, quick-hitting mashup that will get everybody moving, whether they want to or not. This is high-powered stuff right here.

Tricky Sharona can be streamed right here or at djdiamonddog.com, and you can also download the high-quality (320) mp3 here as well. There is also a mashup video available to watch. This mashup is tag-free for the DJ's and it also contains an 8 bar intro and outro.

Thanks for listening and I hope everyone enjoys this latest mashup along with all the other mixes at djdiamonddog.com.

Harry Belafonte - Day-O (rabid re-drum)

Day-O (the Banana Boat Song) originated in Jamaica in 1952 and was later popularized by Harry Bellafonte in 1956 on his album entitled Calypso. The calypso (also referred to as mento, or Jamaican folk music) song was later re-popularized in the late 80's when it was featured in the classic movie Beetlejuice.

Marking 60 years since Harry Belafonte made the song mainstream, 2016 also marks an upbeat remix/re-drum version of this classic, geared towards dancing in the modern club. Day-O (the rabid re-drum) features a house beat over the original calypso tune. With the 4 on the floor beat, this re-drum will liven up any occasion.

The re-drum is available for download and it features both a regular remixed version and an extended version for the DJ's. There is also a video available to watch right here and at djdiamonddog.com

Thanks for the support and enjoy the music!!
